I’m a happily married homeschool mom of 5 currently living in Colorado. I am originally from Southern California. I have loved writing since I was a little girl, with my earliest stories being about a ballerina named Sharline. I write poetry, short stories, and other short works which I will be featuring on this writing website/blog of mine. I’m also slowly working on writing a fantasy novel.
Why do I write? I write because my characters insist I tell their story. I write because I must put to words what I see when I am awed or inspired by nature. Furthermore, writing is often a catharsis for my soul. I share those vulnerable emotions and feelings, even when they are challenging, because I want you to feel seen if you have felt similar emotions or gone through similar experiences. I know for me personally, knowing I’m not alone has helped lighten my burden and helped me realize that there is hope. I aspire to be that small beckon of hope for someone else, as many others have been for me. Although the struggle remains, so do we. We haven’t given up. We are in this together, whether we meet face to face or through brief interactions online.
In addition to writing, I enjoy running, gardening, playing the guitar & piano, singing, and writing songs.
